Independent Historical Documentation Archive

Every voice deserves to be heard.
Every testimony deserves to be preserved.

IJWI preserves testimonies, evidence and historical records from people who report having experienced or witnessed serious human-rights abuses and other injustices from 1990 to the present.

Your identity is your choice. You may publish your name, use a pseudonym, or request confidentiality. Submissions are reviewed before any public release.

Preserving voices. Documenting evidence. Remembering history.

Editorial principle: IJWI documents submitted accounts. Publication of a testimony or related material does not by itself establish that every allegation contained in the account has been legally proven. We clearly distinguish between submitted accounts, source-supported information, and independently corroborated records.

Why Historical Documentation Matters

Testimonies and evidence that are carefully preserved can support research, accountability efforts, education, and remembrance. They give a public voice to people whose experiences might otherwise remain unrecorded. IJWI exists to ensure that submitted accounts are treated with seriousness, neutrality, and respect for the dignity and safety of those who share them.

Documentation is not the same as adjudication. IJWI does not replace courts, commissions, or formal investigative bodies. It provides a structured public archive of reported experiences and related materials.

Call to Preserve History

If you have a testimony, a document, a photograph, or other material that you believe should be preserved, you can submit it for review. Your contribution helps ensure that voices are not forgotten.
