Markers represent locations connected to public archive records. Exact coordinates are withheld when disclosure could endanger survivors, witnesses, or vulnerable people. Records may use exact, approximate, or hidden location settings.
Interactive Map Placeholder
In production this area hosts an interactive map (e.g. Leaflet or Mapbox) with markers for approximate or exact public locations. Clicking a marker shows: location name, approximate date, number of related records, incident categories, linked testimonies, and evidence.
